About
The Charles H. Jones Family Foundation exists to provide grants to qualified 501(c)3 organizations in Middle Georgia that provide high impact results focused on improving the overall community in education, religious, and civic endeavors.
Past, Present, & Future
The Jones Family Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded by Charles H. Jones in 1986 for the purpose of giving back to the communities wherein he garnered success.
“Charles Jones, known as Charlie to friends, was founder and chairman of Ocmulgee Fields Inc. In the 1970s, he was president of the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority. In 1996, he helped create NewTown Macon and, from 1994 to 2001, he served on the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia.” Read more about Charles Jones.
The Foundation considers grant requests from any qualified non-profit in Middle Georgia and beyond, with a strong preference for Middle Georgia non-profits that place core operating emphasis on education, religion, and civic endeavors.
With the passing of Charles H. Jones, the Foundation is carefully guided by his son Dwight Jones, Chairman and President of The Jones Family Foundation. Under Dwight’s leadership, the Foundation seeks to unite citizens who are passionate about supporting non-profit organizations by providing a simple way to join the Foundation in contributing monetarily.
Our Passion
We believe that great things are happening all across Central Georgia communities, and as more people like you selflessly give to the causes and organizations that matter most to them, we will see a remarkable change. We invite you to view our list of current projects, pick one that you are passionate about, and join us in supporting them financially if you so choose.
